This photo was Printed in SEATTLE--LOOK A THE CAR. Can you give us a date. The Hotel name is on the windshield= as I remember. and also on a structure out back but you'll need a powerful glass to see that. This is sure a "tacky" hotel isn't it.? I guess that is why I like it. I wonder if it was home to folks who were not "high society"? Ya think? Probably working class trying to get by. Everything about the place looks dreary except for the car and people in it and on the curb.
I couldn't find out anything about it except Romans Photography was located in the Conant Bldg, Seattle. Thanks for looking.
    Excuse mistakes--poor vision day!

Looks better than most I've been to. LOL.

I posted the postcard, if you have not yet seen it.

      Saw your card.

Yes your postcard is another in the
Series. Are there more? I wish I could get some info on the hotel ,and years of operations. I would love to register in there right now(and maybe never come back.)

Though it's not one of the grand hotels from that era, it's still a really great photo, especially the car!!

You have misspelled the hotel name if you look again. You have mispelled it both different from the hotel sign on garage AND on the car. I am taking it that the sign on the windshield is more correct, and is spelled as Hotel Genevieve, the way it should be spelled !!

      Mr Morris---Thanks for your comment.
In my description I said "EXCUSE MISTAKES! POOR VISION TODAY"--Both my eyes will need to be operated on. I am having a very hard time being here. I needed the correction, and thanks Nicer to not use 2 exclamation points though, owning to my comment in the description. I suppose I just should uot be here and there may be some here who wish I wasn't but I keep plugging on. Dumb and stubborn me.

I looked for some history on this hotel for you but no luck. I even looked at the hotels they say are haunted...nothing there either. Have you ever been there, to Seattle I mean? It's pretty dreary as far as the weather goes, i'M thinking that may be what's affecting this photo. Well, I tried!

What fun it would be if it was on the registry of hotels in Seattle ( a place I have never visited). Haunted? Even Better!! Ha ha. I looked at the hotel history and most were far better hotels than THIS...... maybe Seattle didn't want to claim this one. Thanks for your help! Much appreciated.

Tell me please--WHAT kind of car is rhis that holds 19 or 20 people in it ) in clothing for cold weather, very buky. Is this like a "funny prank" photo? And why are windows open and curtains flying while folks are bundled up? Also where are any more cars, kid's bikes or people walking along. Not a single scrap of paper! No placard or sign on the building front, or address. Almost all shades are drawn! on a overcast (it seems) day. Just freaky A scene from "Twlight Zone"--No?---
