This bag from 1952 held finished photo prints and negatives. In those days, film could be dropped at many different kind of stores, and Kodak would pick the rolls up, develop the prints, and send them back to the store where the customer could pick them up.

It was always a mental ordeal, for kids especially, to "have to wait" for what seemed to be an eternity to get the prints back. Sort of like the agony of anticipating delivery of premiums from different products. The delivery period may have been no more than "four to six weeks", as stated on the order slip...but to a kid, it seemed like four to six years!

Thank you, Thomas...it was tucked away in a box containing old family items! Needless to say, I am glad that the things didn't suffer the ravages of time!
