Unfolds to 6 feet. Has a handle on one end and a 3" diameter cup on the other. It doesn't look like the cup would hold liquid now but could have been sealed at one time. Thanks for any insight as to what it was used for

no clue.....something for those old farm water wells....or those farm windmills that pumped water? I think I have seen something like this as a kid, but I do not know for what it was.....???
