This piece should easily be 100+yrs old, it first belonged to an Aunt of mine who was 'elderly' when I was a child -- it's been in my Mom and Dad's house(s) during my entire life until now, when it just came to live at *my house*. :-) Made of quarter-sawn oak, it is a rather plain (pre-"craftsman"?) design and still has its original wooden wheeled casters. I believe its exterior finish is original, but there's a small chance Mom 'refinished' it. (though I have no memory whatsoever of that if it happened?) The remains of a paper label on its back identifies it as either being made or sold by "Showers Brothers Company, Burlington Iowa." It is roughly 3' wide and 18" deep, and stands 3' high.
