Old Clear Glass Jar

This is a clear glass jar with big block letters in pebble like panels and the shape is octagonal. The seam does not go over the top and there appears to be another seam at the base of the neck. The bottom has an A in a circle with a line under it at the top, and under that it says DES PAT NO 81937 and under that says REG US PAT OFF. Under that it has a 7. There is a small round circle in the middle of the bottom where it was cut, or a suction mark. Oddly enough the top, at the neck, has a tiny number embossed that is 169. Most importantly, which I almost forgot to type, the big embossed letters say Barbasol. There is a period at the end of the word sharing a space with the l. Would like to know what the date is. 1937? I am going to take better pictures, these are not clear enough. Thanks for looking.
