My wife found these very attractive cups and saucers at a flea market in Greece a few weeks ago.
When we got them home, upon closer inspection we found them completely unmarked. However, through a loupe, we discovered the pattern is all painted by hand, as the floral / leaf motifs vary across all 8 pieces. The bone china is incredibly fine, so much so that you can see the painted motifs through the other side when the pieces are held up to the light.
We are desperately trying to identify either a maker, a shape, or a pattern name. The cup has a very unique foot and pointed handle. If anyone can share any insights, I would be very appreciative.

Beautiful !!! what nice cup of tea this would make at the table.

Well the eggshell porcelain leads me to Japanese, however the colour and pattern lead me to Limoges in France, who do similar pedestal cups in those colours.

      Might be somewhere to start

Thank you Hamish. The two avenues you describe are precisely the 2 options we considered too... the fineness of the porcelain and unusual shaped handle might suggest Japanese, whilst the footed style speaks to antique limoge shapes. We spent hours trawling the net to no avail.
