An another flea market find, and again, I would like to hear your opinion on this - is this old, or new?
This pretty brooch ic marked BS and 925, and on on the clasp needle is written METALI. But now when I study the 925 mark, I dont like it at all - it looks fake to me. The brooch is not magnetic but I cannot do the acid test right now.
The brooch is pretty, so I dont care - but it would be nice to know, if this is vintage, or not. There is some green on the brooch which indicates vintage. On the other side, the clasp is not that vintage, and the style reminds me of the new "gothic" jewelry.
Do you know the manufacturer who uses the signature METALI (or BS )?

I have no idea what the manufacturer could be ("Metali" means "metal" in Polish, so researching that tends to bring up lots of unrelated foreign language stuff), but it sure is a lovely brooch!

It`s NOT fake. The pin is base metal (harder than silver and honestly marked as such). The brooch is sterling and pearls (or whatever surrogate pearls) are well set with prongs, which is time consuming, not simply glued in as commonly seen in cheap costume jewelry.
