Hi Everyone,
I've been unable to attend car boots lately, so as recompense been doing some online shopping and bought this.
Described as possibly part of a lampshade, its thick, textured glass with a brass top (or bottom, I'm not entirely sure which way up it should go).
It's quite heavy, being weighted with something under the brass fitting.
I bought it because i love uranium glass but know nothing about it and wondered if anyone here can enlighten me.
It glows very brightly, along with the pen rest I have listed they are the brightest glowing pieces I own.
I would love to know anything more about it, how it might have worked or looked like when complete.
Comments are always welcome.

Thank you

Hi Vintagefran, a very nice piece that you got! :^D Maybe some dimension, size, might help someone to figure it out! I wish I could help, but your guess is as good as mine! :^)

So I think I got it, the glass is the base, the brass/bronze, is a connector ring, that would hold a glass, or brass oil lamp, with a matching shade on top? Because there's no hole that goes through the ring part, to the base, for a power cord. That's what I came up with, by looking for "glass with brass/bronze oil lamps"!
Hope this helps a little! :^)

Hi billretirecoll, thank you so much for the insight & link, that's just the sort of thing I was thinking of:) because there's no hole for knobs or fuel etc. I thought it has to be only a base. I noticed, if u take of the brass top and filling it looks just like a candle stick, I wonder if it's been adapted? Its size is 13cm high by 10cm wide at the base.
