    I know what this is, but I have no idea what it is. As it bounces on the suspended spring the strings make the wings (it's made of a metal or tin of some sort) flap up and down. The pilot appears to be holding a telescope and might even look Italian (it's the mustache).

    There are no markings to indicate its manufacturer or origin. Its wingspan is 6.75", and it sits 3.5" tall and 4.5" long.

    Would love to know what this is called, its approximate age, and, if known, manufacture and/or place of origin.
