    This box needs a bit of TLC. I found it interesting and therefore I bought it. I have tried to find one like it on line but so far I was unsuccessful. I found many with similar metal parts and also with prints, but I couldn't find any with pressed and painted glass.

    Any help would be appreciated.

      Yours looks much older than the ones I've seen and or had. I know they have a gold or brass coating and possibly someone tried to "cover up" where the loss of the coating was with paint. I'm not so positive on that but maybe. Your's could be from the turn of the century, I wish it wasn't so hard to tell when we can't seem to find one like it when we need it. I do know the ones I've had that are somewhat similar but newer were from the 30's - 40's. I know it's not much info but I hope it helps.

      I think it is old, too. But I don't know how old. I also came across goofus glass. I am not sure if my box falls under that category. Shareurpassion, maybe someone just painted it?
