Beads are crystal or glass. Clasp is confusing seems to be old. No marking or signature that I have found. Beautiful. Any insight would be great.

You mention being confused by the clasp. This is very typical of necklaces that are meant to be choker length & yet fit need to fit necks of various girth: the hook goes over any space between the beads on the little strand that dangles from the other end, allowing you to adjust the length to suit.
Crystal beads are noticeably heavier in comparison to glass ones. And, because they have to be cut rather than molded, are sharper at the edges where one facet meets another. Because of the weight & sharp edges around the hole, crystal is often strung on fine chain rather than any kind of cord. :)
Thye are common but so pretty - I just cannot resist them!! Plus these crystal beads are good quality.

Does it have irisation? In some pics it looks like Aurora Borealis.
These were popular by different companies at different times I noticed particularly by some companies. The best costume jewellery companies in Canada such as Sherman produced these mainly in later years I believe. Most companies did not sign their bead creations.
