-anything you can tell me about the picture inside the lid
-any more specifics on date of Trunk
    - possible trunk maker/manufacturer
-meaning of pencil writing inside of lid. (Kiss Miss.)
-anything else that may be relevant.

I would say late 1880' to 1890's," Chromeo lithographs" pictures, were random and had no particular meaning, the words, Kiss Miss, were probably written by the owner of the trunk at some point in time, this style of trunk was made by dozens of trunk makers, without a label impossible to say by who, hope this helps, greendog.

Lovely trunk... judging by the child like hand writing I would think "Kiss Miss" was a reference to the beautiful lady on the lithograph... so a little "prankster" had his (or her) day!

Hi there - this piece looks so much like my own. I just got mine yesterday and don't know anything about it. I am having fun diving into research on trunks for the first time. If I find anything out, I'll let you know. Have you learned anything more about yours?
