There is a similar globe in the post of 20 globes from last week. AnythingObscure asked me if it comes from Rock Island, Illinois. I have confirmed that I does not come from that area. These probably date from around the same year. The company was founded in my current home state of Oklahoma. These date from 1940-1946

Just now, while finally getting a moment to ponder forxactly where there might possibly be an "island" in Oklahoma (?!!) then Googling it, only to discover that the town is actually near the eastern OK border with AR (my current 'home state') and indeed maybe even named for my previous 'home town' in IL before I got here.
