    (18 items)

Here is a selection of Arts & Crafts jewels by Australian company Prouds for Kyra & Judy (+ a few by Rhoda/Dorothy Wager).

The first two pendants are by Prouds, one has the gum leaves, the same as Judy's new ring. One has the softer grape vine style leaves of Kyra's new ring - on the sides & bottom.

The second is a collection of rings all by Prouds & all with the gum leaf design of Judy's ring.

The third is the comparison of a Wager ring & a Prouds ring - the flowers on the side are almost identical & you can see how challenging attribution can be sometimes. I'd say the Prouds ring in this picture is the same design (grape vine leave on top, flowers on sides) as the one Kyra has just purchased.

Finally is a brooch by Dorothy Wager. The photo is a little washed out but you can see the leaf & wirework well.

In the olden days I used to see sets in both these designs in their original boxes. Unfortunately I wasn't as interested because they usually have pastes in them (all the Prouds rings pictured have pastes in them) and I never bought any of them.

Gum leaves were very popular in Australian Arts & Crafts jewellery but Rhoda Wager didn't like using them. She'd only make them if specifically commissioned.

This is all terrific information Jewels, thanks very much for taking the time to show and explain.
I have searched on Trove for Prouds and have come to the conclusion that Prouds did not advertise except to say where they were and to write for a catalogue! Very annoying!!
Thanks again and I will definitely be on the lookout for more of these now:-) )

Aww, thank you Jewels1900 for showing your Prouds pieces!
As always, very interesting to see groupings for comparison :-)

No doubt, from your post my granite ring is a Prouds too.

Did you saw the big Mary Gage/Lillian Pines jadeite brooch pendant sold on EBay 2 days ago? If no one here is the buyer, I'll give the link to it :-)
