I have found some information the marking is actually C.SCHLICKER. I can only find one other post and picture of this item on coommunity.homedepot.com under antique tool. Someone posted that they could not find a definite match to what exactly the device is, but found the person that probably made it. Christian Schlicker was based out of Rochester N.Y. during the 1900's. His company helped with patents by machining inventions for respected clients- like prototypes. There are old classified ads that around that same time where Mr. Schlicker requested old medical tools and equipment. Has anyone else found anything. Please let me know.

I suggest adding pics of the markings. Many smart peeps on here may help if they had more pics. And any history on it....how did you come across this?
I left the tool at my dads, so it will be a couple of days before I can upload pics of the markings. My grandmother passed away this summer and we found this when we were going through her things. She has a ton of antique things and odd stuff from all over. Her husband was a contractor and he built malls and was contracted all over the U.S. We also found things that he picked up when he was over seas during WWII. Most everything we have come across we have identified, except this. My dad has never seen this growing up nor has his sister so it has been a mystery. Even more bizarre is that we have found very little about this guy and only 1 other picture of the tool and that persons was asking for help in identifying it as well. I am trying to contact the owner of the other tool to see if they have had any luck. They posted about it in 2011.

Thank you so much guys! I have looked through that and finally found a link to an article written by Christian Schlicker in a catalog called Hardware World: Plumbing and Heating Volume 15. It was talking about raising the price of pineapple eyesnips because the cost of manufacturing costs more than they were charging. So after googling Antique Pineapple Eyesnips a picture like mine popped up! So glad to finally know what these are! Here is a link to the article.

Thank you! I came across the J. F. Pack one as well as C.Schlicker. Not sure why there were two. J.F. Pack was around 1901 and the article I found for Christian Schlicker manufacturing was issued July 1920. I am just glad to know what it was used for.

Gillian, I can see why, as that link is not the one i originally posted, or has been modified. I have no idea why, and do not remember the key words i used to find a whole page of the item B.Smith was looking for. As you can see by B. Smiths response, he, or she was very happy with what i provided. You do have a keen eye tho!

The posts are three years old, but I'll respond anyway, because I, too, have this tool and have been searching for its name, use, etc.
Where it /may/ be a kitchen utensil, I found this is box that my great grandfather fashioned to hold his cartridge making tools. This would have been turn of the century to 1920s.
I like the idea of it being for measuring!
Have you found out anything since these posts?
And just found on that this is being called a Pineapple Eye Remover by many people online. So bizarre!
