I'm hoping someone can help identify the country of origin of this bell. I'm not sure if it's an actual church bell but I found one like it on a website however the seller did not know where it was from but he did mention it could be a Mexican church bell. I also saw a few online that have a similar M shape on top. This looks very worn. The carving or design on the outside shows what seems to be a figure maybe a farmer or soldier and around the bottom I can identify a rope. The wire in the inside is attached with a flat head screw. I'm not sure if this is brass or bronze but it is very heavy. Its about 9 inches tall. Anyone can tell me any info will be appreciated. Its probably about 12 to 14 lbs.
    Thank you!

You mention the "m" shape on top of the bell but it looks more like a crown [royalty] shape to me. Katsuripottery
