This has been in my family since 1956 and has been used for 2 generations. My parents used it as a bassinet when my kids were young and packed it away for the last 20+ years. My mom customized the bed part by getting an extra foam cushion and covering it. When mom passed we found it in the garage rafters. My parents were the only people who knew the origin of this buggy. I know that their wish would be for it to be used for the great grandchildren as well.
The name Standard is on the front of the main part of the buggy but there are no other makers marks anywhere. The wheels go on the bottom of the buggy with leather straps. I can't figure out how to get them to work so that it will roll. There are no springs for shock absorption and you have to pick up the handle end to turn it. I've looked around the internet but haven't found anything exactly like it and I've also checked out the local antique places with no results. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

Absolutely Gorgeous!!!!!! This is how i remember things made in the 50's, where they took the time and effort to make things look like a piece of working art!
