    This chair has been in our family since early 1900's, it is in good shape. It has a hinged seat which you can see in 2nd photo. We just have no idea what era or where it came from. Grandad was born in 1896 and I believe this came from his parents.

      I'm thinking Eastlake/Victorian era also. This is in excellent condition!!! I'm curious to know what on earth they would put inside that chair??? It looks pretty shallow...How deep is that?

      I bet that chair was used at a desk and they would just put a few special contracts, maybe deeds something like that in there...hmmm
