The Photogravure was published by Boussod and Valadon in 1886.
1886 ! So not all those women in those days looked like those old ones of drab women clothed up to their earlobes. Back then, the wedding nite was probably like opening a Xmas present & hoping the rest of the purchase for life is better than the face. LOL !! This one would be a real pleasant surprise !
