    I bought this pair of Amber flasks in an auction in London England. I thought they looked like they had been hand blown although I also felt the painted soldier heads were put on to emphasize and make them look even older. I decided it mattered not as they made nice decorative pieces. What I would like to know is the age of the flasks.

      As you say, they are nice Decorative bottles with interesting painted characters. The under-bases are not consistent with pre-1900 bottles. The paint on the designs looks too pristine. Still very nice in MHO. Bob

      Thanks Bob, I don't think them old, old but still love them and bought them for the pictures of the old soldiers.
