POLCINI... An Italian designer who came to America in 1911. His earlier works are marked Ledo, and then in the 60's, his son took over and renamed the Company Polcini. One aspect of Polcini jewelry is the beautiful rhodium plating. Back in the day, this method was expensive,( as it is related to platinum) and the company used many layers to achieve a "mirror-like" result.
My favorite is in photo one, this set was never worn and is in pristine condition. See the mirror- like back? Photo three, this set has cabochon Chrysoprase stones amidst tiny rhinestones. Photo four... As you can see is all tiny rhinestones.
All these sets are signed Polcini... Circa 1960's
For those of you who have seen my jewelry before, please bare with me as I attempt to put them back on CW. ( I took them down because I thought it was required when leaving the site, sigh, which I decided against, missed it too much)
Not looking for more loves or comments but hoping to help other collectors in their research.... Thanks Eileen
