This is my fifth Auburn Rubber Toy car. This is one of their smaller vehicles at 5 1/4" long. All Auburn vehicles seem to either be turquoise or red and this one is the very attractive turquoise. It is a very 1950s color. For those who like dates I would say circa 1950. For those who do not like dates I am still going with 1950.
These were dime store toys. They were much cheaper than the pressed steel vehicles like Tonka, BuddyL and others. These are still inexpensive and nice pieces for a curio cabinet or collect them all! That was the dream of every toy company.

I recall these being popular around 1956 or 58. They were sold at the five and ten cent store.
