    This 2 1-2" goldtone brooch distinctly reminds me of a palm tree, the small multi color slightly off center starburst could be a bejeweled coconut! Vintage Sarah Coventry

      Thanks so much as always Eileen, I so agree wish most designers would sign their pieces, I would never just guess when they say "oh it's the known style of...", it's not fair to be wrong. Thank you too for liking my description, it's just me putting a tropical spin on something, but according to Ken it's a fireworks theme!

      Right Phil, I think the tail is shaped like the trunk of a palm, and the gold filigree top looks like a palm tree. If Coventry left the "tail" off, it would be more firework looking, no? Glad you saw a palm too!
