This 2 1-2" goldtone brooch distinctly reminds me of a palm tree, the small multi color slightly off center starburst could be a bejeweled coconut! Vintage Sarah Coventry 1949-1983

I believe you are right, it is a palm tree !~
Right Phil, I think the tail is shaped like the trunk of a palm, and the gold filigree top looks like a palm tree. If Coventry left the "tail" off, it would be more firework looking, no? Glad you saw a palm too!
