This design came in many colors and shapes...multi dimensional tiered brooch with a givre' stone surrounded by Amethyst and AB chatons, topped off with raised "rosettes". Quite a work of art... Earrings to match. The back showing figure- eights, rivets ( sparingly used), and drops of gold
sodder (" sloppy work").
Other colors were Fuchsia, Sapphire blue, Emerald green, Topaz, and Yellow.

Super-beautiful set Eileen, very exotic looking. Of all the colors it came in you chose the best

    Thank you Ken,
What I love about D & E is that they
were not afraid of color! I believe I've said this before,
    but it bares repeating!

Jenni, yes, I like the Amethyst, but I wouldn't turn
down the other colors if they came my way :)
Thank you again for your sweet words!

    Awe, Thank you Judy!
Quite a compliment coming from a collector
Such as yourself. I rarely leave the Costume
Jewelry posts and I'm missing out!
Took a quick peek at some of your pieces...
Amazing! ( understatement) The silver and onyx ring!
My Mother's favorite Silver & onyx, malachite, turquoise.
But these were Native American pieces she collected.
Your pieces are far more regal!

Thanks so much Eileen for the lovely compliment, very kind of you to say:-) )
I haven't been collecting for very long, but I started with costume jewellery, mainly brooches and now have boxes and boxes of them that I can't bear to get rid of because I love them all and have probably worn them all at least once! Then my collecting started to evolve to the fine jewellery area as well as other things, but I did pickup a lovely Australian made costume brooch the other day, still can't help myself, it was too good to pass up lol:-)

    Yes, wear them! Judy,
I wear my pieces to the grocery store, lol
There's a checker I use that wears vintage pieces to work.
We have fun comparing.. The other day she wanted to trade..
    I kindly declined
