    the bottom reads ST LOUIS SILVER Co in a circle and in middle of circle has an asterisk. outside circle has QUADRUPLE 10 I tried to search with google image search for something similar and I cant find anything that looks like this thing.

      You don't say what the dimensions are, and agree with nutsabotas6 need to have more photos please, especially the bottom.

      I too think it's a sugar bowl.
