    Waddie
    (1 item)

A pipe given to my great granddaddy George Gipson Gentry Waddill by the old Native American Indian Chief Geronimo around 1886 in Schulenburg, Texas. "Gip" Waddill or "3G" fought for the South in the Civil War and was assigned to the New Mexico area where he met and befriended the old Chief. When Geronimo finally surrendered to the Union they stayed overnight in Schulenburg and great granddad Waddill shared his tobacco with him and his men. When they parted the old chief gave him his pipe. It's been in my family over a hundred years.

    L. K. Waddill ~ Mason, Texas
