Beautiful and very heavy 4 strands of deep orange beads. 24 inches long with a brass type accent. I would love to know what type of beads or how old it is. I love wearing but curious if is bakelite or something else. I've searched on line for similar item but can find anything. There aren't any markings. I paid less than $10. Not worried as much as curious. Does anyone know?

Yes, they may be glass. They don't seem to give off the smell of Bakelite. India? That's really good to know. Do you know anything more? Thank you for responding
