Does anyone recognize this cartoon style bear figurine or its signature on the bottom of its paw? It looks to be made of clay and painted.

I forgot to say some of its paint is chipped at the beginning of the signature. I think that's why I'm having a hard time making it out.

It's an Asian signature - perhaps Chinese or Japanese.

Possibly, four letters I believe I can make out are "less" in the middle of the signature.
