    Is anyone here from Ivirngton N.J. This postcard was maied in 1914 (see back) GOOD IDEA having the POLICE & FIRE STATION at the same location. Here in AZ. that is not the case.
    I love the old engine. Now probably on display in a museum. Here you see it ready to fight a fire as it was then.

      it could be some kind of flashing light , like and "SOS" LIGHT type of thing, I could be wrong.

      My first thought was a big loudspeaker? I have never seen the like.

      The louvered dormer on top of the firehouse might just be for ventilation or maybe it housed a siren.
