This is the 14k gold Great Northern Railway "Chief Special Agent" badge of Alton G Ray. Ray was Teddy Roosevelt's Secret Setvice man before leaving in 1909 to become the Chief Special Agent of the Great Northern Railway. This ornate badge was custom made by the Charles Robbins Co, 0f Attleboro, Massachusetts and bears the 3D bust of Louis W. Hill who was the President of the Great Northern Railway.

It was actually his issued badge. There were also 12 Special Agent rank badges that were handed out to each of the 12 Division Special Agents. I have one of those and know we're another 5 reside. Chip
