These pickle shaped salt and pepper shakers are 3 1/2 long and remind me of the sweet pickles (or are they gherkins?) one would see on a relish tray. This is probably a better Thanksgiving post than my turkey but we are having both turkey and a relish tray.
I recall as a kid looking for edible food on Thanksgiving as TG food is kind of funky for a kid and finding pickles. Put they would be sweet pickles which is grandparent food but not kid food.
Anyway I think these salt and pepper shakers were neat so I have added them to my collection of random stuff I think is neat.

Don't put them too close to the *real* relish tray on the table, or somebody might end up inadvertently breaking their teeth...??! :-)

I thought you were posting some weird American Thanksgiving food there.
Maybe pickles were on the first boats?

Probably early 50's or so. Times were tough and for some these were even a gift for marriage or shower. You probably could clean them, just soak in pickle brine !~

Thank you very much Phil. Looks like 50s to me too.

MY human being still sorta seems somehow disappointed that I (unlike all those other kitties in the vid clip that MacDaddy linked to) don't really give a sh*t about whatever a "cucumber" is...why are the rest of 'em so afraid of it??

      Signed, WODA
(whose human is the one most usually posting pics of all his crap on here...to me, all that is usually just so much more stuff that I haven't yet managed to find a way to shove offa the edge of something...?)

Thank you very much shareurpassion. Not a fan of sweet pickles either.

Thank you very much WODA. Smokey likes to knock small items off of tables but he doesn't cause much damage.
