HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THE GOOD OL' GANG!! and NEW FOLKS TOO!
Here ar FOUR C. 1912 Thanksgiving postcards with kids and turkeys!
CUTE#3 and CREEPY # 4 (ICK!)
THE FIRST IS CREEPY--DEAD head of a turkey flops over the side of a gir'ls head now stuck into the neck! Lost my appitite!
THE SECOND--NICE, Tinsel trimmed scene with stately pilgrims marching off to dinner outdoors.
.The THIRD shows a child delighted with a big turkey! NICE
The FOURTH shows a child with a dead turkey in her lap, freshly killed and the child is ripping ir apart with glee.GULP!
My daughter today is making a Tofu Turkey--and I am having a Frozen Dinner.
Contrasts to "Thukey Day", and maybe a similarity in "feelings" to the vintage cards.
Anyway you slice it, make it a Happy Day! Lois
PS--I added a few more vintage Thanksgiving cards from my collectio as an afterthought--Same era. Gobble Gobble. over and out!

Gee. my thoughts too are with the turkeys but maybe OK for the just one day for the annual gathering of famlies--maybe the protesters can fill their plates with tofu like my daughter--I want some turkey tho.

The way we think has sure changed! #1 an #4 are unwelcome images in the way my brain conceives things! Ha Ha! I think we are much more sensitive now.
