Pilgrim Glass (1949-2001) of Ceredo WV decided to join in the cartoon resurgent popularity and produced this avocado green 6"W deer #936 in 1970 named Bambi.
This is for you Judy, the Bambi saga continues! My glass deer is either Bambi as young adult, or with no antlers could be the mother doe, although not all glass animals gender correct

After all our Bambi talk I found the original movie on line the other day and watched some of it......and it is still as sad as ever!
So glad you liked him Judy, I do remember the sad parts of Bambi too and think it's a little cruel to do that to kids, don't you? I know animal stories like to show reality but think it's hard for little ones to process

Hi Jenni, I guess it depends on the child and how sensitive they are......I was a very sensitive, took everything to heart, believed everything I was told, kind of child! I am 65 now and not quite as bad as I used to be lol......but still cry at the drop of a hat! So annoying at times lol :-)
I know Judy, some movies really grabbed at the heartstrings, esp animal stories for me - another sad one watched on tv as a kid was The Yearling - what is it with deer stories lol
