This is a wonderful Gustave Sherman Parure, signed. I am not sure if a brooch was ever made. It is not in the book of Masterpieces by Sherman, but they likely never had one. The authors and collections they photographed may never have had any of this set. It is a colour combination that is rarely seen, but when they did use these colours, they did love to do purple and green at Sherman. This colour combo may seem loud in the pics but when seen in regular light, it would easily be demure enough, for a woman, to be worn and seen in the daylight or at work.
The centre purple stone and two of the larger green stones in the necklace are surrounded with finely set miniature AB stones to enhance ! I may have received this in early 2016 or late 2015, but I cannot remember any details, so I regret that I did not document the set much sooner. The thing I love most in the construction of the set is that they did not use AB coating on any of the main stones !~
There are 2 bracelets that use the green and purple in the book, "masterpieces" but the green is more a light spruce green and not as nice as the greens in this bracelet which just shine and sparkle unbelievable in the light. The stones in this set are more abundant than the smaller design in the book. It looks so beautiful under a lighted magnifying glass, this will always be a favourite of all time !!~
