I like to collect old photos of kids and their playthings. In this photo from my collection it appears that both the girl and her doll are wearing the same outfit. Very unique and very cute. I am guessing that she really loved this doll. Was this a popular doll during the 1930's? Does the doll have a name and who made it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cute photo ! They are dressed in Harriet Hubbard Ayer doll dress's
Harriet Hubbard Ayers had a very interesting life and was famous for cosmetics
    Her story
A doll named after her produced by several companies all wearing this style dress
. One doll you could apply make up to and as time went by they don't have good face coloring anymore
here is how all the dolls named after her were dressed
This photo looks like Mom made them both of dress's to match and was made to resemble Harriet :-)

The doll looks to be wearing a effanbee doll Co.heart necklace so she is likely a Effanbee doll
