This 5" ruby glass cardinal is by Viking (1944-1998) of New Martinsville WV, and has amberina accents on tail, nose and crown. He dates from 1975

I'm so happy you like him Ken, didn't know he was your state bird, cool! The cardinal is one of our fave winter birds here in NY cause so colorful against the snow, & I love to see the male and female pairs feeding on ground together, so cute
They used to have a Viking Glass Co in Canada also, cute bird !

Very glad you liked him Phil - I often catch myself calling things "him" but in this case, the all red cards are the males - and nice to hear Viking Glass was in Canada too. Their glass animals were of superior quality to competitive brands of those days, in structure and weight
