    Ornate metal clip. Fairly heavy For it’s size. Approximately 4” tall. Looks like an east lake design?

      Yes - Eastlake style bill clip. These had multiple uses in the Victorian home and office and are often found attached to kitchen cabinets where they were used to hold recipes. They were also attached to doors to hold notes and letters. Victorian business offices also found these spring clips to be quite useful.
