This is a beautiful piece not in working order would like to find more info before trusting a repair.
Any help is appreciated on the front it says northern life which I will guess is a company. Not sure how to open it it looks like the swing is on the bottom

It appears to be a Northcliffe open-face pocket watch. Not much to be found out there. Maybe a small subsidiary of a larger manufacturer ? Some of the watch experts on CW might have some insight for you. I've found a few, and from the looks of things, it's probably not worth repairing.
