This was the Christmas Eve find at the Flea Market today, an enamel on copper lidded bowl by Mesick Studios Altadena, Calif. USA
The bowl is 3 1/2" tall by 6" across the top and 3 3/4" at the base, The lid fits over the bowl and is 6 1/4" out to out, it has a 1/4" lip, and is 1 3/8" high including the 1/2" brass center handle. The blue/green enamel on the bowl has a pebble texture, and the lid's lip is bare copper, and the top has yellow and orange dots over a modeled blue/green over white and copper, with clear enamel over all.
The label on the bottom reads -Convivial Ware- -Enamel on Copper- -Hand Made In California- -By- -Mesick Studios- -This New Technique Assures The- -True Colors Lasting A Lifetime- -High Firing Gives The Hard- -Scratch Resisting Surface- -To Clean Just Wash in- -Soap & Water- -Verity Southall LTD.- -Altadena, Calif., USA-
I really couldn't find any information about this company, except for the label, and I think it was made between the late 1950s-1970, but not sure.
Thank you for looking, all comments always welcome! :^)
