    I bought these two rare and beautiful Arita plates from my friend Seiko today - at the flea market. They are really beautiful and old - 18th century, i was told.

      thank you Gillian. i actually like the really crude and rustic pieces more, but these make great gifts! my favorites are Awaji w/ the bamboo wrappers and the horse's eye plates, and of course Oribe!

      these are probably very good early 20th century Daishoji copies.

      how logical is it to have an taimin seika nensei the japanese equivalent of the chinese chengua mark without kiln sprurs a five color with an almost monochrome blue center , i don,t know , this is something around 1900, i like this
