Hello all! Hoping to tap the vast knowledge of the collective. Saved this sofa from a certain death, wondering if anyone would have any information on when it was made, and who made it.
Nothing was broken, a couple cushions needed mending. Good as new. Sorry for the dark photo.
    Thank you all!

      I think the style is Regency. Period: 1811 – 1820 I wouldn't think it's the original upholstery.

Thanks Gillian, I think you are correct.

Its so hard to tell, I would think possibly 1940-50 range, they were making these well into the later 20th century. This design is a more rare Regency design. Beautiful !~

I agree with Phil here. My folks have a couple similar sofas which are regency and the carving is much deeper. The shallow carving on this one makes me think it was done imitating earlier pieces. if there was a regency revival in the early 1900s, i'd say it could be from then.

Perhaps with some help flip it over and remove the dust cover from the underside and have a look. (I’m seeing sofas with that same “Chinese grinder toolmark carving” applied to America made sofas in classic styles
