My neighbor gave me these clip earrings as a thank you for pet sitting. I thought....and yes, they match a pin I have. All marked Hollycraft Copr 1950. I also have a bracelet and necklace in these pretty pastel colors, but not a match like these. Thank you neighbor!!
Beautiful !
Thank you Mani - I think so too!
Thank you Ken - it was so nice of him and I know he'll be thrilled that they match my brooch. :)
Ooo, HOLLYCRAFT!
I love their work, these pastels are
so pretty Mary!
I use to have some pieces, should of
hung on to them :(
Beautiful!!
Really love this sparkly set Val, beautifully shaped, and pastel colors are my faves - enjoy!
Cannot get better, must have been working closely with Swarovski in 1950 as new stones were being made. Superb !~
Wow! A great set in hand now! I really love the shape and stone colour placement of that brooch - masterful.
Eileen - thank you! I've had the brooch many years, always looking for matching pieces and finally - yes! I have a bracelet and necklace that are close but no cigar.
Thank you Mrstyndall for your beautiful comment :)
Thank you Jenni, yes the colors are SO pretty.
Thank you Phil - some great stones! Not as good as Swarovski, some of the stones are clouding and it's a bummer that the tiny rhinestones like to pop out. I have some replacements though :)
Thank you Karen - I'm happy with this gift! It's always special to add items and create a set!
Love, love and love Mary :-) ) )
Judy thank you for your triple love comment - Mary
Rhinestones don't like water, and some sellers on ebay I contacted were using glass cleaner to soak their pieces clean. I try not to buy from those sellers as its the worst thing to soak even in water as often it does not dry properly and the backings ROT so they lose all their good looks !
Thanks for the reminder Phil - so true! The earrings are perfect (except for a few missing tiny rhinestones) but the pin has some cloudy stones.
Thanks Ken - I went back online, oh my I wish I could afford the bracelet and necklace that match, yes - marked 1950. I was very surprised at their value. I'm touched by your nice compliment!
Thanks everyone for your loves: Raven, Hel1, Caperkid, Mike, bratjdd, gargoyle and Fort!
They look great! The quality also seams high. Beautiful!
Hi Elisabeth - yes good quality. Not the colors I would search for but as they are both gifts I am happy to have them now. My neighbor left again this morning and his last words were "maybe I'll find the matching necklace at my grandmother's place" That would be a nice surprise.
Wow! A true winner set, so beautiful colors and craft, great gifts you got!
Finger crossed your neighbor will find a match :-)
Thanks Kyra - I hope so! He said there are a few layers of jewelry boxes in his grandmother's hoarder house, he remembers seeing treasures as a little kid and hopes to find them.
Thanks also to Melanie and Mani for loves.
I am almost sure that a matching necklace can be found on page 123 in Miller's "Costume Jewelry - How to Compare and Value". I love the rich colours!
Hi Gudrun - yes I would believe it. I saw the exact matching necklace and bracelet online for $$$. Thanks for your nice comment :)
they look like fine jewelry!
WOW, so pretty! You have a very nice neighbor :)
Wow, was your neighbour looking in the drawers ??
....That is "Jewelry Drawers"
Mary, have you ever seen “Hollycraft Collector Heaven” on RL. I went there to see if she had any of these 1950’s pieces, but alas, both bracelet, and necklace were sold :(
Her prices are very fair. The necklace just sold ( dang it) for $35. And the bracelet ( to die for, it’s huge) went for a mere $78. So keep her shop in mind, looking for completing your set(s). I also have the Complete your set syndrome...no cure :)
Eileen - thanks, I love RL and I didn't know about that seller. I'll pay attention. It is a curse isn't it - focusing on finding the missing items? LOL The first find is always the free or cheap find, but .....you know, that's the hook. But, I love the hunt like you! :-)
Rose - sorry I didn't respond. He sold his Mom's house with all contents. I think she was a hoarder. I don't know the whole story.
Tlynie1942 - yes, he is a great neighbor, mainly we watch each other's pets.
Lentilka - thank you for your nice comment! Aren't they pretty?
When I saw Ballstonelakes Hollycraft bracelet, I remembered your lovely set.
Your set hits it’s 70th. Birthday this year!
Eileen - you mean MrsT cuff - WOW is that gorgeous! The mix of pastel colors, "fruit salad" is so pretty.
Valentino, so lovely. I think this is the first time I have seen the brooch. I had seen a necklace and earring set previously. Glad yours was posted :)
