    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a post made yesterday of a marigold Northwood Carnival Glass tumbler. I can't remember the posters' name, and it looks like the post has been deleted.

I think I've offended the poster by posting some links to other Northwood marigold items. I also posted a link to a book on Carnival Glass, a very comprehensive book, with write ups on the different companies that made Carnival Glass, pictures and 2011 prices. (Probably way out of date). I completely deluged the original poster with information.

I want to apologise if I went overboard, it may have seemed that I was boasting somehow - giving links to different Northwood marigold CG, and the book. I didn't even give any feedback on what she had posted. I hope she will accept my apology, I meant no offence at all.

My piece of CG is an amethyst bowl, which I found intriguing because of the Star of David in the middle.

Beautiful amethyst carnival glass bowl Gillian, love the side carvings of grapes. Don't be so hard on yourself about giving TMI, I have done it also & unfortunately we can't delete a comment we make on someone else's post, I wish CW would change that in future. Listen, when we post things on this site we should expect all types of opinions & advice, it is all about sharing & learning here, right, at least I think so - Jenni

OKAY - Is no one going to figure out the menu?

Nwfld - you have calmed me down! Something I didn't mention was that she wished she could have more of the set. Sigh

      Thanks again

You're very welcome Gillian, I know you tried to help, perhaps the person decided against posting and/or took the post down to re-write it. So many people only post once and it's too bad as they seem to have more to offer.

About the menu - it appears to be dialect Italian, many words altered or abbreviated - I can make out "bread" in all three sections, also "spinach" and the word "minest." could be like salad greens, or the abbreviation for minestrone soup. If you like Italian food, it might appeal - I am half Ital-american & mostly don't care for it lol

I think it's better to call it a shopping list rather than a menu.

Sometimes we can all go overboard in trying to help, sometimes the links do not help as they often only last a short time.

I definitely appreciate all information people can give on my posts! And I love CW, the purples are my faves even though most of what I have is marigold colored ones.

      *CG* not CW....
LOL! Another reason we should be able to edit our responses!

      A word of advice:
It is better to say nothing, than to say something that muddies others' opinions. There is no reason to drag your criticism of people to various posts that don't pertain to them. Complaining doesn't do anything. Think construction rather than destruction. I'm unsure of why you're harsh toward some people and nice toward others, but I don't care. Keep silent if you have nothing nice to say and nothing useful to add.
And, by the way, when I had mistyped your name some time ago, it was an error. Everyone makes them. Yet you made a big deal of it and were rude toward me. Review yourself and how you handle situations, for you need to work on that.
This isn't an attack. This is friendly advice for making you a better moral agent. Be cheery, not leery. Be kind, not cruel. I say all this because I'm tired of seeing various comments from you that are so negative toward others.
      Have a nice day.
