Late 1960s Zig Zag 30" x 57" wicker with woven thread Tapestry or perhaps a Yoga Mat. At an almost 5' size, this was likely originally sold at a head shop or they may have used it for an advertising display for Zig Zag Rolling Papers. Acquired from a lady in Missouri who bought this second hand at a yard sale in 1974 while a college student. Quite the unusual find with provenance dating it as a period piece. As to what category this fits into... hmmmm.

      I remember buying these...
They came in white, yellow, and different
flavors... still do. The zig-zag man ( based off a French soldier) has been around for well over a century.
VERY COOL FIND! and in great condition for it's age. Well done!

Thanks Ms.CrystalShip for the information! What did you used it for?

The French soldier had his clay pipe shattered by a flying bullet, so he tore off a piece of paper from his ammo bag and rolled his tobacco with it. This "icon" was also one of the most popular tattoo's in the 60's.
What did I use them for?
Let's just say... not tobacco :)
