Beautiful back seam nylons marked "Selma 60 gauge 15 denier first quality". Probably 50's because of their lovely plastic box. Never worn, folded between patterned tissue paper.

Now these are old classics, from my mom and grandmas days - how they stayed up was amazing as they would fold tops over, not use garter belts. Lovely golden metal box for storing them

Jenni - thanks for your comment - but not like your mama's, these are delicate - held up with garters and original in this lucite plastic box.

Yes Judy, it took care of shapewear needs too.

OMG! They are so lady like! I always admired ladies wearing these but I am gad I don't have too. I did, however, as a little girl wear some too. Not those thin ones, of course, but the thicker cotton ones. I have to check for an old photo. Or maybe not:)

Mary, I found a picture - with stockings and garter - but you need to look closely. I will take it down as soon as you had a good laugh. Here it is:

What a cute picture of you!! WHY oh why would crazy adults subject their sweet little ones to garters? LOL Darling photo my friend :)

Beautiful packaging and so unique! I've never seen anything like this!

Mary, thanks for your sweet comment! I don't know the answer to the why. I will now delete the photo quickly.
By the way, my grandmother never wore anything else. She also wore a corset for her whole life. Sometimes I had to help getting her into it. I think they even cremated her in her corset. I guess old habits die hard.

betweenthelens - thank you - isn't this plastic box neat? It also has pretty patterned cobweb tissue :)

Gudrun - I remember my grandmothers wearing those corsets too. I was afraid of them LOL. I hope they didn't go to rest wearing them. Thanks for sharing your picture :)

Thank you Phil - the box is SO cool. I think these scratched easily but this one must have been kept in the lingerie drawer - it's perfect.

Thank you friends for your loves!

My Mother used to tell me it took a long time to get the seams straight. Being a perfectionist, I can imagine her joy when seamless came out.
I love the box Mary. This really is quite a find!

Eileen - thanks! My sister found these in a Missouri junk store. Such a fun find. Yes, I think getting the seams straight sometimes took a helper. Ha ha!
