    This wood postcard was sent to my Mom from my Dad when he was stationed somewhere in the US before going overseas.
    It is 1/4" balsa wood, the picture is quite light colored. Looks like a wood burning project to me!

      What an awesome gift this is for you! A simple treasure, the best. How awesome and yes, it does look like a wood burning. Although it may have just been carved in, not sure and honestly it doesn't even matter, right!?!
