this is definitely not new, but not sure how old - 1940s? 50s? it's heavy and i like it a lot as a garden sculpture. did it have some use at one time or just a decoration?

Very nice! Reminds me of the concrete chicken lawn ornament I got my sister last summer. Cool!
I have seen the different cement animals but never one this well done. Most I have seen just had left over old paint on them that wore off quickly. Someone really took time with this one.

i added a couple more photos of this piece just now. a lady offered me a surprisingly large sum of money for it today, but i declined. i really like it, but eventually i want to give it to my sister who has around 100 chickens 0f all shapes and sizes.
