Hello everyone!!!
I've had this little fellow for quite some time now. It's a solid bronze cold painted hare place card holder. This would have been a child's party favor, from many years ago. Can you imagine giving something like this away to a child as a party favor? I'm sure many of these got lost or broken, but this little guy survived. He's small and only measures 2 3/4" long and nearly 2" tall.
Not sure who the maker of this hare is, as I can find no markings on him. I thought maybe there was a makers mark on his front paw, but I'm not so sure about that. I do not know exactly how old this hare is, but I'm certain that he's pre-1950.

He's a beautifully formed hare, from ears to feet & love his alert eyes, this must have been a delightful child's birthday party favor, esp with a candy pouch tucked on him somewhere!

Thanks Ken!! I'm guessing the family that gave this as a place card holder and/or a party favor, would have been living in an upper class household.
