Hello again everyone!!
Here are the only other Japanese made hare doorstops that I have in my collection. I'm told these are very old, I'm just not sure exactly how old. Though these two look very similar, they were made by two different manufacturers. The one on the left has a more muscular detail while the one on the right has more facial details. And, of course, they are different shades of color. As I mentioned in my previous Japanese hare post, when these were made, bronze was scarce and cast iron was plentiful. So, these were made of cast iron and painted to resemble bronze. These stand about 8" tall.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!!!
